Accounting for Fluid Flow when Determining the Pressure Drop in Layers Separated by a Clayey Interlayer
摘要
Abstract—
This article addresses the problem of finding the pressure drop in two parallel layers exploited by horizontal wells. These layers are separated by a low-permeability clayey partition. The problem is solved analytically using the Laplace and Fourier transform methods. For convenient practical use, the obtained solutions are transformed into a dimensionless form. The study includes plots showing the relationships of pressure drops in both interlayers over time and analyzes the obtained solutions based on the permeability ratios of the layers and the partition. The results can be used to estimate pressure drops during the development of layers alternating with clayey interlayers.
