摘要

Abstract—An approach to estimating the life of polymer composite materials, which is based on the kinetic concept of strength, is presented. Examples of testing aviation-grade carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRPs) under tension, compression, and interlaminar shear at increasing loads and various loading rates are provided. The structural state of the CFRPs is estimated using their inelastic characteristics, which result from the same thermodynamic processes.
