摘要

Abstract—The methods for fabricating internal, non-surface-breaking artificial defects of a specified type, size, and orientation and localized in a specific area of a sample, are described. These defects are intended for evaluating the sensitivity of ultrasonic nondestructive testing methods for additively manufactured products. The advantages and limitations of the methods are presented. Fabricated artificial defects are verified by X‑ray computed tomography.
