Metallurgical Features of the Welded Joint Formation during Resistance Spot Welding of D16 Alloy Parts with Preliminary Relief Grooves

Abstract—The metallurgical features of welded joint formation during resistance spot welding with preliminary relief grooves between 2.5-mm-thick sheet parts made of a D16 alloy are studied. The static and fatigue strengths of the welded joints formed using the developed and basic technologies are compared.
