摘要

Abstract—The main features of the formation of Cr3C2–Ti and SiC–Ti cermets during explosive pressing of powder mixtures on a steel base are considered. Strong interfaces between a carbide (Cr3C2 or SiC) and titanium are found to form when the heating temperature of a powder mixture during shock-wave compression reaches (0.35–0.4)Tm, where Tm is the melting temperature of the carbide. Here, the chemical compositions of the alloy components do not change, no element redistribution between phases occurs in macrovolumes, and the hardness reaches its maximum.
