Computer Simulation and Experimental Testing of VT1-0 Titanium Alloy Pipe Rolling Technology
摘要
Abstract
A technology of production of seamless titanium pipes has been tested at an experimental-industrial MISiS-130D mill. 80 × 8 mm VT1-0 alloy pipes are fabricated, and their geometric dimensions, surface quality, and energy–force parameters (EFPs) are analyzed. Computer simulation with the QForm 3D software package is preliminarily performed to estimate the possibility of production and to test rolling conditions. The developed tool calibration and rolling conditions are found to ensure the production of pipes of specified sizes without exceeding EFPs. The results obtained can be used to develop industrial rolling conditions.
