Determination of the Optimum Conditions of Reversible Surface Plastic Deformation of Medium-Carbon Steel
摘要
Abstract
The results of reversible surface plastic deformation (SPD) modeling are presented to determine the effect of the main process parameters on the state of stress (SOS) in the surface layer. The optimum conditions of reversible SPD are determined. The optimum conditions of reversible SPD are found to provide high SOS intensity, high compressive residual stresses in the surface layer, and a sufficiently high depth of work hardening.
