Abstract

Wear tests and thermophysical measurements are conducted using powder coating–steel counterbody friction pairs under low climatic temperature conditions. The study reveals the laws governing the behavior of the operating temperature of the friction unit in cold environment. Data on the weight wear of coatings and counterbodies are obtained, and the characteristics of profiles are examined. Additionally, the structure of friction surfaces is analyzed. The study reveals the wear mechanisms on the contact friction surfaces of both coatings and counterbodies.
