Effect of Functional Gas-Thermal Coatings on the Fatigue Strength of Structural Materials
摘要
Abstract
The present study discusses the potential application of gas-thermal spraying technologies for the purpose of improving the fatigue strength of structural materials. A series of laboratory experiments employing multifactorial experimental design as a methodological framework are conducted. The fatigue strength of structural materials, including grade 45 steel and high-strength VCh 60-2 cast iron, is enhanced through the application of functional coatings formed by gas-thermal spraying a powder with the 95% EP-109 + 5% Al–Mg composition. The influence of the technological gas-thermal spraying conditions on the fatigue strength of the materials is mathematically modeled.
