Scratch Testing of the Surface Layers of Materials and Coatings Using Acoustic Emission
摘要
Abstract
A technique of scratch testing of the treated surface layers of materials is developed using diagrams of scratching with a diamond indenter recorded in the load–scratch length coordinates. This technique makes it possible to determine the scratch hardness, the specific energy of local fracture, and the adhesion resistance of the surface layers of materials and coatings. An effective use of scratch testing in combination with acoustic emission is shown.
