Optimization of the Heat Treatment of 20GML Steel Blanks Operating at Temperatures down to –40°C

Abstract
The effect of heat treatment conditions on the mechanical properties and structure of as-cast and forged 20GML steel blanks is studied. A change in the normalizing temperature is shown to substantially influence the mechanical properties and impact toughness of the as-cast blanks. The optimum heat treatment conditions of 20GML steel blanks have been chosen.
