Effect of Zirconium on the Structure and Properties of Deposited Titanium–Aluminum and Titanium–Aluminum–Silicon Alloys

Abstract
To increase the mechanical, manufacturing, and service properties of deposited titanium aluminides, additional alloying with zirconium is suggested. Alloying during argon-arc deposition of titanium aluminides in using SvA5 and SvAK12 filler wires is found to affect the geometrical parameters of a deposited weld bead and the chemical composition, structure, and properties of the deposited alloys.
