Determination of the Range of Effective Grinding Modes and Grinding Wheel Materials for Processing 95Kh18 Steel
摘要
The development of a mathematical model for grinding 95Kh18 steel with recommended grinding wheels, namely a green silicon carbide wheel, an CBN wheel, and a diamond wheel, is discussed. A multifactorial experiment has been conducted to study the influence of grinding modes and grinding wheel materials on the surface roughness on processing 95Kh18 steel. The surface roughness was assessed using parameter Ra and a portable profilometer model MarSurf PS1. Based on the obtained data, it is possible to select the optimal cutting mode based on the required surface roughness. To achieve a stable quality of the processed surface (Ra = 0.63 μm), it is necessary to use a diamond wheel at cutting speeds from 10 to 25 m/s and low feed. The obtained regression equations show that an increase in the cutting speed or a decrease in the feed leads to a decrease in the surface roughness. The main provisions of metal cutting technology and mechanical engineering technology have been used.
