Preparation of Ceramic Alumina Coatings Modified by Silicon Carbide Particles Using the Microarc Oxidation Technology
摘要
Abstract—A perspective method is proposed for the preparation of ceramic alumina coatings modified by silicon carbide particles owing to a complex application of cold gas dynamic spraying of composite aluminum powders and microarc oxidation. The resistance of silicon carbide in the aluminum matrix to oxidation during microarc oxidation in the boric acid-based electrolyte is studied. The introduction of 5 wt % silicon carbide into the ceramic coating is found to enhance its wear resistance.
