Determination of the Impedance of an Ore-Smelting Furnace at a Design Stage

Abstract
Modern software for design and numerical modeling is used to determine the impedance of complex sections of the low-voltage circuit of an ore-smelting furnace. A constructive solution, which made it possible to reduce the impedance of the current supply and the asymmetry of the phase resistances, and, thus, to improve the energy performance of the designed furnace, is estimated.
