Laser Deposition of a High-Temperature EP648 Alloy on a ZhS6U Alloy Base

Abstract
The effect of the laser power during the deposition of an EP648 alloy on HPT (high-pressure turbine) blade ridges made of a ZhS6U alloy in the course of their restoration has been studied. Macro- and micro-structural analysis of the joint zone and the deposited layer are carried out. The feasibility of restoring HPT blades by laser cladding in comparison with manufacturing new ones is noted.
