Abstract <p>The interaction of a new sorbent based on the natural materials lignin and shungite with hydrazine and its transformation products was studied by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). A qualitative and quantitative analysis of the compounds present in aqueous solutions of hydrazine before and after its contact with the sorbent was performed. A significant decrease in the hydrazine concentration in the soil was detected upon its contact with the sorbent.</p>
