Fast Separation in Gas Chromatography
摘要
Abstract
The goal of chromatographic analysis is to achieve the best separation of the analyzed mixture within the minimum period of time. This review examines the possibilities of reducing the elution time of substances through a column by increasing the carrier gas flow rate and through rapid temperature programming. Examples of fast separations using packed, capillary, and multicapillary columns (MCCs) are presented. The capabilities and limitations of these columns are discussed. The requirements to chromatographic equipment for fast separations are considered. The use of express separations opens up new possibilities for analyzing target compounds in various fields related to chemistry, including environmental research.
