Hydroxybenzenes Sorption on Strongly Basic Anion-Exchange Materials from Aqueous Solutions Under Static Conditions
摘要
Abstract
The sorption of phenol, resorcinol, phloroglucinol, and pyrogallol on strongly basic anion-exchange materials in the different forms (FIBAN A-1 fibers and AV-17-8 beads) is studied. The equilibrium sorption characteristics of hydroxybenzenes at a temperature of 298 K in a concentration range of 0.5–15 mmol/dm3 are determined; the results show the affinity of the studied sorbents for these sorbates. The changes in the acidity of the medium after the sorption of the sorbates are analyzed. The effect of temperature on phenol sorption on the beaded AV-17-8 anion-exchange material is determined; it is found that hydroxybenzene sorption is an endothermic process.
