Sorption of a Mixture of Heavy Metal Ions by Clay Rocks of the Bryansk Oblast

Abstract—The sorption capacity of natural clay rocks of the Bryansk oblast in relation to a mixture of heavy metal ions (iron, copper, zinc) has been studied. The sorption isotherm of the mixture of heavy metal ions by the clay material was obtained and classified. It turned out that sorption of iron(III), copper, and zinc ions by clay rocks ranges from 65 to 90% when all of them are present in solution.
