Method for Determining the Ozone Mass Transfer Coefficient between the Gas and Liquid Phases in a Bubble Column Reactor

Abstract
A method is proposed for determining the coefficient of ozone mass transfer between the gas phase and an aqueous solution of HCl + NaCl. The method is based on minimizing the functional of discrepancy between the dependences of the specific reaction rate of O3 with Cl–(aq) on the concentration of hydrogen ions determined from experiment and obtained from reference data. The method also allows estimation of the true Henry constant in acidic solutions of chlorides.
