Abstract

The content of singlet oxygen in the atmosphere was measured by diode laser spectroscopy near 1505 nm using the absorption lines of the O2(a1Δ)–O2(b1Σ) transition, \(\Delta \nu \) = 1. The concentration of singlet oxygen in the surface layer of the atmosphere was estimated. The dependence of the singlet oxygen concentration on weather conditions was assessed.
