Abstract

The process of complex formation in the heterogeneous system Cu(Hg)–Cu(II)–L-Ala–H2O is studied using the classical Clark–Nikolsky oxidation potential method at a temperature of 298.15 K and a solution ionic strength of 1.0 mol/L. It is shown that coordination compounds [Cu(H2A)4]2+; [CuHL(H2A)3]2+; [Cu(HL)(OH)(H2A)2]+; [Cu(OH)2(H2A)2]0; and [Cu(HL)(L)(H2A)2]+ are formed in this system. The process of complex formation occurs in a fairly wide range from pH 1.0 to 8.8. Using the method of successive approximation (iteration) of the oxidative function, the formation constants of complexes are calculated, the areas of their dominance and maximum degrees of accumulation are determined, and diagrams of their distribution as a function of pH are constructed.
