Synthesis and Studying Physicochemical Properties of Phase-Change Materials Based on Zinc Nitrate Hexahydrate
摘要
The authors synthesis and study phase-change materials based on zinc nitrate hexahydrate Zn(NO3)2⋅6H2O with additions of thickeners (polyvinyl alcohol PVA, carboxymethylcellulose CMC), nucleating agents Co(NO3)2⋅6H2O, ZnO and expanded graphite (EG). Several compositions with different ratios of components are obtained. Total heat ΣΔH while cooling the best composition (95% Zn(NO3)2⋅6H2O + 5% Co(NO3)2⋅6H2O) + 1% CMC + 1% EGhydr is more than 500 J/g in the 80 to 25°C range of temperatures with a melting point of 38°C, heat of fusion ΔHm 142.8 J/g, and total heat storage density ΣS of 1100 MJ/m3. Tests of 4 kg of the composition in a thermal accumulator show a discharge period of τ = 6 h 40 min with a stable coolant temperature of 29°C. A composition of 95% Zn(NO3)2⋅6H2O + 5% Co(NO3)2⋅6H2O) + 1% CMC + 1% EGhydr is obtained with freezing point 30.4°C and discharge period τ of 3 h in a heat accumulator. The proposed compositions can be used in thermal accumulators of heating systems, underfloor heating systems, the pre-heating of car engines with heat accumulated during the working period, and cooling systems.
