摘要

Abstract

The synergy phenomenon is known as a nonadditive effect of various additives on the reaction. This effect was earlier used mainly in liquid-phase reactions and was explained by the reactions of active impurities with each other or with the products of their transformations. The present study shows that synergism also takes place if one of the additives is an inert gas. At the self-ignition limit, synergism takes place even without reactions of intermediate species among themselves. The mechanism of synergism has been clarified.
