Features of the Reaction between the Tetranitrosyl Iron Complex with Cysteamine and Phosphoenolpyruvic Acid
摘要
Abstract
The reaction between the biological high-energy compound phosphoenolpyruvic acid and a potential antitumor drug—a nitrosyl iron complex with cysteamine ligands, an NO donor—was studied. The structure of this reaction product, as well as the spin state and oxidation state of the iron atom within it, were determined using a wide range of physicochemical methods: elemental analysis, UV, IR, and Mössbauer spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and quantum chemical calculations.
