Abstract <p>Copper(I) complexes [L<sub>3</sub>Cu<sub>4</sub>I<sub>4</sub>(CH<sub>3</sub>CN)] (where L<sup>1</sup> is 10-(4-tolyl)phenoxarsine (<b>I</b>), L<sup>2</sup> is 10-(4-bromophenyl)phenoxarsine (<b>II</b>)) were obtained by the mechanosynthesis consisting of grinding powders of 10-(aryl)phenoxarsines and copper(I) iodide in an equimolar ratio with the addition of a small amount of acetonitrile. The complexes were characterized by mass spectrometry, elemental analysis, and <sup>1</sup>H NMR spectroscopy. The molecular structure of complex <b>I</b> was determined by X-ray diffraction (CCDC no. 2468768 (<b>I</b>)). Cluster has the cubane-type geometry. All of the complexes exhibit orange emission.</p>

Abstract
