<p>We study the distribution function of a sum of independent identically distributed random variables of a special kind. This sum can be used to describe current posterior probabilities of messages for a randomly chosen code in a binary symmetric channel. These posterior probabilities are helpful in the study of feedback channels. We obtain nonasymptotic lower and upper estimates for this distribution function, which are close to each other.</p>

We study the distribution function of a sum of independent identically distributed random variables of a special kind. This sum can be used to describe current posterior probabilities of messages for a randomly chosen code in a binary symmetric channel.
