Abstract <p><i>Amphiprion polymnus</i> has been reported for the first time in the waters off the Hon Son Cha Island (the northeastern border of the Da Nang Bay); it lives in symbiosis with the sea anemone <i>Condylactis</i> <i>doreensis</i> at a depth of 12.6 m on silted sandy bottom. This is the northernmost find in the coastal waters of Vietnam for both <i>A. polymnus</i> and the host sea anemone <i>C.</i> <i>doreensis</i>. Presumably, <i>A. polymnus</i> (together with one of its host sea anemone species) may be present in the Gulf of Tonkin, including its northern part.</p>

Amphiprion polymnus has been reported for the first time in the waters off the Hon Son Cha Island (the northeastern border of the Da Nang Bay); it lives in symbiosis with the sea anemone Condylactis doreensis at a depth of 12.6 m on silted sandy bottom.
