High Temperature Oxidation Behavior of AlCrxFeNi1.2Cu0.8 High Entropy Alloys
摘要
High temperature oxidation behavior of AlCrxFeNi1.2Cu0.8 (x = 0.5, 0.75, 1.0, 1.25) high entropy alloys were researched in this paper. A 64 h high temperature annealing treatment was carried out on the alloy. The result indicates that as-cast alloys are composed of FCC and BCC simple phase structure. After annealing, the matrix peak does not weaken significantly, exhibiting good phase structure stability. The experimental results are consistent with the oxidation kinetics. The mass of the alloy after oxidation shows a trend of slow increase, and the alloy will appear weightlessness in the late oxidation period. During oxidation process, oxidative growth is not obvious, and a relatively complete oxide layer of Al2O3 are maintained. Therefore, AlCrxFeNi1.2Cu0.8 high entropy alloy has excellent oxidation resistance.
