Abstract <p>This section provides a brief biostratigraphic description of two crinoid assemblages from the middle member of the Neverovo Formation of the Afanasievo Quarry, and presents data on the facies distribution of the studied crinoid communities. Analysis and a brief comparison of the studied associations with coeval assemblages from the Upper Pennsylvanian of the United States shows that the studied crinoid assemblage has a mixed composition, including both typical North American genera (<i>Apographiocrinus, Brabeocrinus, Elibatocrinus, Texacrinus</i>, and <i>Ulocrinus</i>), which likely migrated to the Moscow Basin, and endemics (<i>Cromyocrinus</i>) that evolved in Moscow Basin. The paleoecological habitat characteristics of crinoids from the Neverovo Formation, their symbiotic associations and regeneration events are described.</p>
