Abstract <p>This paper describes new finds of remains of a small <i>Bison</i> of the subgenus <i>Eobison</i>, which is part of the Early Pleistocene fauna of Taurida Cave in Crimea, biochronologically dated as 1.8–1.5 Ma. The horn core, incomplete upper and lower jaws of juvenile and adult individuals, teeth and limb bones are assigned to a new species <i>Bison</i> (<i>Eobison</i>) <i>constantini.</i> The paper also discusses some important aspects of the history of the subgenus <i>Eobison</i>, its distribution and evolution.</p>
