New Early Frasnian Conodonts, Icriodus aqua sp. nov. and I. lacrima sp. nov. from the Ust’-Yarega Formation of Southern Timan, Russia
摘要
Abstract
New Early Frasnian conodonts of the genus Icriodus—I. aqua sp. nov. and I. lacrima sp. nov. from the Ust’-Yarega Formation of Southern Timan are described. These species are characterized by a rather wide platform. The mass appearance of taxa with such a platform is most likely related to the abrupt change of environments in the Early Sargaevian, which led to the emergence of new food resources.
