Abstract <p>New Early Frasnian conodonts of the genus <i>Icriodus</i>—<i>I. aqua</i> sp. nov. and <i>I. lacrima</i> sp. nov. from the Ust’-Yarega Formation of Southern Timan are described. These species are characterized by a rather wide platform. The mass appearance of taxa with such a platform is most likely related to the abrupt change of environments in the Early Sargaevian, which led to the emergence of new food resources.</p>
