摘要

Abstract

This study provides preliminary characteristics of two Early Triassic paleosols (FPS-profiles) discovered on the right bank of the Luza River near the village of Vaimos (Komi Republic). The locality contained lycopodiopsid stems with bulbous rhizophore (cf. Pleuromeia sp.), and lungfish cocoons preserved in situ in paleosols. A tetrapod trackway assignable to Chirotherium sp., also from the Lower Triassic deposits on the right bank of the River Luza upstream of the village of Veldorja is also described. General considerations on the landscape and paleoclimate that existed in this region in Early Triassic time are presented.
