Parallelism of the Shell Microstructure in the Brachiopod Order Chonetida

Abstract
The similarity of the pseudopunctae in genera of different systematic positions in the brachiopod order Chonetida is interpreted as a histological parallelism. The taxonomic significance of the data on the shell microstructure is considered.
