Description of a New Ptinidae Latreille, 1802 (Insecta: Coleoptera) from Cretaceous Amber of Myanmar
摘要
Abstract
Benemerita burmitica gen. et sp. nov. (Coleoptera: Ptinidae), is described from Cretaceous Myanmar amber. The specimen represent the oldest record of Dryophilinae LeConte, 1861 described for the Cretaceous, and the oldest of the subfamily. One can distinguish it from the rest of the genera in the subfamily by the combination characters: of antennas without clubs, a prothorax narrower at its base than the base of the elytra with protruding and well-marked posterior angles, striated elytra and absence of body pubescence.
