New Species of the Genus Acanthonautilus (Solenochilidae, Nautilida) from the Early Permian Shakhtau Reef (Cis-Urals)

Abstract
Two new species of Acanthonautilus Foord, 1896 (family Solenochilidae Hyatt, 1893) from Asselian–Sakmarian reef deposits of the Shakhtau quarry are described. The history of the study of Solenochilidae is briefly discussed, and they are compared with other Paleozoic cephalopods of similar morphology. Morphometric parameters proposed by D. Raup were used for more precise characterization of the new species.
