Finds of Silicoflagellates in the Cenozoic of the Kvachina Bay, West Kamchatka

Data on finds of silicoflagellates in the marine Cenozoic section of West Kamchatka in the Kvachina Bay are presented. Based on analysis of the stratigraphic occurrence of taxa in the section, biostratigraphic units are identified at the rank of beds with flora. The discovery of stratigraphically important taxa in the studied assemblages allowed their correlation with associations of Oligocene zones based on silicoflagellates in nontropical regions. The conclusion that the host sediments are dated within the Early–Late Oligocene is supported by data on diatoms.
