摘要

Abstract

The microbial community of Western Large Aral Sea brine was investigated. Metagenomic analysis of enrichment cultures on chitin from various sources revealed archaea of the genera Halomicrobium, Haloferax, Haloarcula, Halorubrum, Halorhabdus, Halosegnis, Halohasta, as well as Woesearchaeales. Pure cultures of archaea of the genera Haloferax, Halorubrum, and Haloarcula were isolated. The chitinolytic potential of the microbial community of this unique hypersaline habitat was demonstrated.
