Abstract <p>Antibiotic resistance detected in probiotic strains and starter cultures of lactic acid bacteria in recent years is a major problem in modern society. Previous studies have shown that antibiotic resistance genes are widespread in the intestinal microbiomes of farm animals raised in large-scale stalled operations in the Russian Federation. The goal of this study was to determine the content of <i>Lactobacillales</i> in the feces of yaks raised on pasture and wild argali, and to obtain pure cultures that are promising for use as probiotics and starter cultures and do not contain antibiotic resistance genes. Despite the low content of <i>Lactobacillales</i> in the intestinal microbiota (&lt;3% of the community), members of the genera <i>Ligilactobacillus</i>, <i>Lacticaseibacillus</i>, <i>Limosilactobacillus</i>, and <i>Lactiplantibacillus</i> were isolated from yak samples.</p>
