摘要

Abstract

In the present work, the copper(II) resistance of Achromobacter insolitus strain LCu2 was decreased by adding 1 µM of silver nanoclusters to the culture medium: the maximum tolerant concentration decreased 4 times and the minimum inhibitory concentration decreased 25 times. It is supposed that nanoclusters disturb the function of the copper(II) efflux system by binding to the CusC protein; as a result, the bacteria partially lose the ability to export excessive copper(II) cations from the cells.
