Non-Localized Coupled Thermo-Mechanical Waves in an Infinite Media with Voids: A Detailed Investigation

Abstract
The current research sheds insight on propagation of plane waves in a thermoelastic material. The material is containing void pores. In the framework of non-local two phase-lag heat transport theory, governing equations are developed. Three sets of longitudinal waves and one transverse wave emerge. Unlike the transverse wave, longitudinal waves are influenced by voids, thermal field, and non-local quantities. For transverse waves, a critical frequency is found, although longitudinal waves suffer conditionally from the critical frequencies. In order to anticipate the accurate view of waves, computational results are obtained for the wave components- attenuation coefficients, phase velocities, specific losses.
