Abstract <p>The initial crystallization region of the low-temperature non-centrosymmetric modification of barium borate β-ΒaΒ<sub>2</sub>O<sub>4</sub> (β-BBO) in the ΒaΒ<sub>2</sub>O<sub>4</sub>–NaBaBO<sub>3</sub>–Bi<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> system is determined by powder X-ray diffraction, visual polythermal analysis, and solid phase synthesis. Bulk BBO sing crystals are grown by solution-melt crystallization. The obtained results demonstrate the promising application of compositions of this system as solvents for the BBO crystal growth.</p>

Abstract
