Abstract <p>Patterns are determined of the interaction between hydrazine and methyl ether of 5-methyl-1-(2,3,5,6-tetrafluorophenyl)-1<i>H</i>-pyrazole-3-carboxylic acid. A series of complexes is obtained: [(η<sup>6</sup>-cymene) RuCl(η<sup>1</sup>-L<sup><i>n</i></sup>)] (<b>1</b>, <b>2</b>, and<b> 3</b>), where L<sup>1</sup> is methyl-1-(2,3,5,6-tetrafluorophenyl)-1<i>H</i>-pyrazole-3-carbohydrazide, L<sup>2</sup> is 4-iodo-3,5-dimethyl-1-(2,3,5,6-tetrafluoro-4-hydrazinephenyl)pyrazole, L<sup>3</sup> is 5-methyl-1-(4-bromo-3,5,6-trifluoro-2-hydrazinephenyl)-1<i>H</i>-3-carboxymethylpyrazole. Crystallization of complex <b>1 </b>from acetonitrile in the presence of 1,4-C<sub>6</sub>F<sub>4</sub>I<sub>2</sub> leads to the formation of ionic complex [(η<sup>6</sup>-cymene)RuCl(η<sup>2</sup>-L<sup>1</sup>)]Cl·1(1/4)(1,4-C<sub>6</sub>F<sub>4</sub>I<sub>2</sub>)·1/2MeCN (<b>4</b>·1.25(1,4-C<sub>6</sub>F<sub>4</sub>I<sub>2</sub>)·1/2MeCN).</p>

Abstract

Patterns are determined of the interaction between hydrazine and methyl ether of 5-methyl-1-(2,3,5,6-tetrafluorophenyl)-1H-pyrazole-3-carboxylic acid. A series of complexes is obtained: [(η6-cymene) RuCl(η1-Ln)] (1, 2, and 3), where L1 is methyl-1-(2,3,5,6-tetrafluorophenyl)-1H-pyrazole-3-carbohydrazide, L2 is 4-iodo-3,5-dimethyl-1-(2,3,5,6-tetrafluoro-4-hydrazinephenyl)pyrazole, L3 is 5-methyl-1-(4-bromo-3,5,6-trifluoro-2-hydrazinephenyl)-1H-3-carboxymethylpyrazole. Crystallization of complex 1 from acetonitrile in the presence of 1,4-C6F4I2 leads to the formation of ionic complex [(η6-cymene)RuCl(η2-L1)]Cl·1(1/4)(1,4-C6F4I2)·1/2MeCN (4·1.25(1,4-C6F4I2)·1/2MeCN).
