Synthesis and Interaction Features of Binuclear Heterometal Acetate Complex [Pt2Cu2(OOCMe)8] with 1,10-Phenanthroline and 2,2′-Bipyridyl
摘要
New complex compound [Pt2Cu2(OAc)8] I is obtained in the interaction of copper hexahydroxoplatinate Cu[Pt(OH)6] with acetic acid, and it is structurally characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction (XRD). The addition of various bidentate N-donor ligands, such as 1,10-phenanthroline and 2,2′-bipyridine, to the reaction with synthesized complex I makes it possible to isolate bimetal acetate-bridged complexes [(OAc)Pt(OAc)3Cu(bipy)·1.5MeCN] II and [(OAc)Pt(OAc)3Cu(phen)·2MeCN] III. They are also structurally characterized by single crystal XRD. It is found that in the modified complexes, an incomplete destruction of the Chinese lantern structure occurs when one of bridging acetates becomes terminally coordinated on the Pt atom, and the interatomic Pt–Cu distance increases in comparison with that in complex I.
