ABSTRACT

Results of a methodical study aimed at modeling a spatially inhomogeneous transition line are reported. The results are obtained by an in-house software module for the CFD package and an in-house program for predicting the laminar-turbulent transition based on the \(\mathrm{e}^N\) e N -method. Numerical simulations are performed for a hybrid laminar-turbulent transition, where the regular and bypass transition scenarios take place in different regions of the flow in the swept-wing boundary layer.
