Influence of Piezoelectricity on the Jahn–Teller Effect in Doped Crystals
摘要
It is shown that the piezoelectricity of the matrix, as well as crystallographic elastic anisotropy, leads to the non-equivalence of global minima of the adiabatic potential energy surface of Jahn–Teller complexes in doped crystals. As an example, tetrahedral complexes with Cr2+ substitutional impurities in II–VI crystals with the wurtzite structure are considered.
