<p>Analysis of the nuclear magnetic resonance linewidth and spin-lattice relaxation rate of <sup>175</sup>Lu in LuB<sub>12</sub> assumes a structural transition at <i>T</i>*~150&#xa0;K into a state with a long-range ferrodistortive order of lattice distortions caused by the cooperative Jahn–Teller effect. The reported experimental facts imply this transition to be characteristic of other rare-earth dodecaborides.</p>

摘要

Analysis of the nuclear magnetic resonance linewidth and spin-lattice relaxation rate of 175Lu in LuB12 assumes a structural transition at T*~150 K into a state with a long-range ferrodistortive order of lattice distortions caused by the cooperative Jahn–Teller effect. The reported experimental facts imply this transition to be characteristic of other rare-earth dodecaborides.
