Abstract <p>This work describes some aspects of the digital signal processing for the proportional counter. The pulse shape analysis of the signals from neutrons and gamma quanta can provide information about the difference for the particle discrimination. In addition, it is possible to tell the position of the particle registration inside the counter in order to eliminate the wall effect and to improve the energy resolution.</p>
