Measurement Results of Characteristics of a Vacuum Pump Made of Sintered Neg Disks for Hydrogen and Its Isotopes for Use in Plasma Installations
摘要
Abstract
In this paper, the measured specific vacuum characteristics of a nonevaporable getter consisting of Ti–Zr–Al for hydrogen and its isotopes for use in thermonuclear fusion installations are presented. The vacuum system of neutral beam injectors requires hydrogen and deuterium pumping speed of millions of liters per second at a pressure of 10–5 Torr. Specific pumping speed of approximately 0.81 L/(s cm2) for hydrogen and 0.44 L/(s cm2) for deuterium were obtained for the Ti–Zr–Al getter, and the hydrogen sorption capacity was measured, which is greater than 6 L Torr/g.
